Supporting Access, Equity, and Community at MSWP

At MSWP, we believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality Montessori education. Our newly updated Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) reflects our commitment to supporting families, fostering economic diversity, and ensuring that tuition is not a barrier to joining our community.

TAP offers need-based financial support to eligible families and is awarded annually through a fair, thoughtful, and confidential review process.

The purpose of TAP is to:

  • Support families who demonstrate financial need

  • Create a more accessible and inclusive school community

  • Ensure long-term sustainability and responsible financial stewardship

  • Align with MSWP’s mission and values by supporting the whole child and family

TAP is funded through a combination of the school’s operating budget and generous fundraising efforts. Your participation in events and donations directly strengthens this program.

TAP Application Process at MSWP

How the TAP Process Works

  1. Families complete the TAP application during the designated enrollment period.

  2. Applications are reviewed confidentially using a standardized rubric to determine financial need.

  3. Awards are determined based on:

    • Demonstrated financial need

    • Available TAP budget for the school year

    • Equitable distribution across applicant families

  4. Families receive their TAP decision with their enrollment contract in Feb-March.

  5. Families have 8 days to accept or decline their contract and award before the seat may be offered to a waitlisted family.

Eligibility

TAP is available to currently enrolled families and newly accepted families who submit a complete application. Awards vary each year based on financial need and available funding.

Confidentiality

All financial information submitted through the TAP application is kept strictly confidential. Only designated administrative staff involved in the determination process review applications.

Important Dates

TAP Application Opens: Sent with re-enrollment materials

TAP Application Deadline: January 15

Award Notifications Sent: March, with enrollment contracts

Acceptance Window: 8 days

How Families Can Support TAP

TAP is made possible through careful budgeting and the generosity of our community. You can support the program by participating in:

  • Annual Giving

  • Fundraising events (Auction, Golf Tournament, Harvest Fest, etc.)

  • Employer matching programs

  • Direct donations toward tuition assistance
