About Us

MSWP Mission Statement:

Through a peaceful and prepared environment, MSWP fosters independence, respect, and joy in learning while embracing a child’s natural wonder, and curiosity, strengthening mind, body and spirit.

Founded in 1975, the Montessori School of Wild Pines offers a tremendous experiential learning environment for children ages 15 months to 6 years. Founded by committed parents, MSWP combines dedicated teachers and faculty, exceptional facilities, challenging programs, and committed parents to help children develop confidence and competence as they discover their world.

We proudly serve children 15 months to 3 years old in our Toddler Community and children 3 to 6 years old in our Primary Community.

We have four beautiful Primary classrooms. Each classroom is complete with all the materials needed for an authentic Montessori education. We also offer a Summer Camp program and a beautiful outdoor environment with plenty of room to run!

The Toddler Program is a year round program with children transitioning into our Primary program on or around their third birthday.

The Primary program is a 9 month program with an 6 week theme based summer camp between school years.  The camp is for MSWP children only and enrollment takes place in mid-February.

“No matter how young the child, participation in every day life develops a feeling of worthiness in a person called upon to share it in an active way. “-  Silvana Montanaro
